Gettin’ The Band Back Together to Close September 16
The Broadway premiere of Gettin’ the Band Back Together will end its run September 16. The new musical comedy began previews July 19 at the Belasco Theatre, where it officially opened August 13. A 40-year-old, out-of-work banker, played by Mitchell Jarvis, moves back in with his mother and decides to reunite his old high school rock band. The production, directed by Tony winner John Rando with choreography by Chris Bailey, will have played 30 previews and 40 regular performances at the time of closing. The musical made its Broadway debut following a world premiere in 2013 at New Jersey’s George Street Playhouse, More details here.
